ícone Never stop dreaming

When arriving to this world, we bring our eyes full of simplicity and naïve joy, contagious...

During the childhood, unconcerned and easy, how many dreams we carry! The imagination flies free. There are no limits to the productive mind. Everything is possible.

But, we grow up. And life takes charge to unlight some bright of our eyes.

We hear the word no so many times that, little by little, we cover ourselves with an extreme caution. We start to be afraid of trying to go further, to exceed small limits.

Slow, very slowly, we put more and more breaks into our soul, we exercise the self-censorship, we kill the imagination.

Before dreaming, we repress ourselves: Oh, this is not possible! or This is not going to work. And we don´t even allow to ourselves to imagine something new and daring.

But, let's think, is it worth to live in such a methodic way? Having every step counted? With our dreams repressed?

The answer is no. It is not worth to suffocate the dreams, which might be the bridge to a fuller and happier life.

A dreamer is someone who does not sit. Who is always searching for something good, new, different. Someone that is an idealist, a fighter.

See that we are not talking about rebellious people, the ones that only wish to break the rules as a form of provocation.

We are talking about people who wish to live in a just world, blessed by deeds of brotherhood and full of ethics, happiness and peace.

Do you remember when John Lennon sang he was a dreamer, but he was not the only one?

In the song Imagine, he imagined a world free from religious prejudices, without national borders that prevent men from being brothers.

Well, what Lennon really wanted was all dreamers to join him, so the world would be one, more united, more caring and loving.

Let´s attend this invitation?

Yes, because attending this call for brotherhood is also to join the message of great religious leaders, philosophers, good men.

Let´s remember that Humanity walks because there are those who dream. Inventors, scientists, priests, thinkers in general are great dreamers.

Gandhi has dreamed the independence of India would be conquered without any violence. He managed to bend the powerful British Empire without holding up weapons. Only with gestures of love, seriously and with strong will.

Men like this are the real dreamers. They do not sit and wait. They do not let themselves down. They do not allow the pessimism of others infect them.

Dreamers move the world, from ideas that they make come true. Yours are dreams of  well-being, of brotherhood, of loving gestures.

Allow yourself dream of beautiful things, searching for positive changes. Touch the stars with your fingers. Dream.

Dream, yes. Every day, all the time. And try to make your dream come true, to change the world into a better place.
