Being a father is something special. It is, in manhood, to save sweetness.

It is to be a man and be affectionate.

Being a father is, to be an administrator, to administrate so well the time, that there are never minutes missing to answer a child´s call, carefully. A telephone call to speak about his enthusiasm for being able to score a goal for his school team.

Being a father is not to drown in the sea of business, even that many hours of his day are required in his capacity as an executive.

It is, to be a farmer and prepare the land of the son´s heart to receive the seeds of good, watering it every day with his love, showing him, in practice, that no task is more important than the one that has to do with the feelings of creatures.

Being a father is, being a musician, to have enough sensitivity to place, in the pentagram of his child´s life, the most sublime notes of understanding, tolerance and love.

Being a poet, to write the most beautiful rhymes of tenderness with the simplest verses of companionship and joy.

Being a father is, as a skilled mechanic, to be able to repair any damage that other ideas may provide on the delicate structure of the nature of his child. It is to know how to use, with skill, the tools of precision, measuring opportunity and values for the lessons that will guide them through life.

Being a parent is, as skilled sculptor, to sculpt exquisite forms in the character of the child.

As an instructor, to teach them the lessons of its personal experience, and to tell them about the immortal lessons of the greater life.

Being a father is, being a driver, do not forget that you should guide your child´s life for the safe route of duty, in order to transform them into an honored citizen and a man of good.

Being a father is, being a judge, judge with impartiality the antics of their offspring child, considering all the facts and being willing listen to all the parts involved, in order to judge with justice.

To be a father is, to be a doctor, and have the nobility of a surgeon to, at the right time, perform a surgery in the bowels of the Spirit discovering the tendencies of the child and working and polishing them.

Being a father is, being a nurse, do not forget to put bandages on the injured knees and elbows and provide appropriate medication for the pain of heartbreak due the first disappointment of love.

Being a father is, being an actor, to stop shining on the stages of the world to perform to a restricted audience of a kid who waits for you, every day, to watch your performance the one from the most beautiful play, that of fatherhood.

Being a father is, being a singer, to inflect the voice and to create lullabies to lull the child, tired of the games of the day.

To be a father is, to be a sportsman, having stiff arms to lift the child firmly, to embrace him with vigor and whispering to his heart: I love you very much.

There are men who want amazing missions. There are others who dream of extraordinary achievement.

There are those who plan to have the world´s eyes on them.

However, the most surprising mission, the most extraordinary achievement is that of responsible fatherhood.

And the most important look is the one from a little one who waits for you,  by the door, at the end of the day, smiles, runs out and yells to the figure of you tall and strong: Hi daddy, I´m glad you came.
