ícone Invincible love

He arrived during a cold night, His parents held Him with straw and hay to warm Him up, straw and hay which were destined to feed the animals that lived in the place where they found shelter.

His life was menaced since His early days by someone worried about being dismissed from his throne of vanities.

He wandered on foreigner lands, returning to the land of His parents to grow up in grace and vitality.

The political scene was agitated. The people of the nation He belonged to were slaves, under an arbitrary and dominating nation.

The government was based on the accumulation of wealth and in the maintenance of power by force, since they lacked other reasons.

Every time His name was mentioned, through the centuries that came after Him, He would be recalled as the one Who came from one of the less important cities of His nation.

His father had no social projection. He was a carpenter and from very young age, his long and thin hands had shaped wood.

When the time was right, He made Himself known to mankind, employing words used long before His arrival.

Phrases of popular knowledge, repeated by generations, like a chant full of hope.

But even those who waited for Him did not recognize Him. They expected a very pompous person, but He made Himself small, to love and to serve mankind.

He was accused of the crime of sacrilege because He dared affirm His divine filiation, unveiling the Father of all beings.

He called friends the ones who followed Him, affirming that friendship was one of the purest feelings one could ever come across.

He affirmed that He would offer Himself in holocaust at the right time, and that He would give His own life in the name of His friends.

He taught happiness, being present at important moments of His relatives’ lives and all people who desired to share their bread, their table and friendship with Him.

His presence blessed marriage, making clear the importance of building a family.

He called the little ones to sit next to Him, affirming the importance of childhood, and being an exceptional educator, He talked about the serious responsibilities of conducting well this period of our lives.

He spent time with youngsters and idealists, inviting them to follow Him, so that they would have their youth blessed by an imperishable love.

He made of nature His temple and school, calling the attention of the ones who listened to Him when He talked about the little things.

He talked about the mustard grain, the unproductive fig tree, harvesting at the right time, the periodicity of the seasons, the leaf of a tree.

He taught nobility through the sacrifice for love to truth. With His blood, He watered the spirit of the ones who would become His followers, along eternity.

He Who had been betrayed, abandoned, still He came back from the eternal world to comfort His friends.

He attested immortality with His presence, allowing people to touch Him.

Expert of the most human basic necessities, He did not think twice before preparing, at the beach, a fire to offer food to His fishermen friends, when He returned to the work on Earth.

He was a loving son, unconditional friend, Humanity’s servant.

He demanded nothing. He exemplified perfection and in a vehement invitation, He established that whoever desired to imitate Him, should take their cross and follow Him. Whatever He did, others could do as well.

He did not promise wealth or privileged positions. He was model and guide, but had less than a stone to rest His head on.

He affirmed He was not exceptional. Son of the Excelsior Father, sharing His desires, He revealed to us our divine ancestry.

In His testimony of love He affirmed we are heirs of the stars, the sirs of skies, travellers of the Universe.

He is called Nazarene, Celestial Friend, Galilean, the Son of God. It does not matter. He is Jesus, the Overwhelming Love. Our Master, Friend, Brother.
