ícone The invisible ones who are with us

The night unfolded in a festive atmosphere in the large auditorium of the University. Parents, family members, and friends filled almost all the seats.

One by one, the graduates entered, illuminated by the flashes of photographers, in a sea of emotions.

Proud parents recalled the endless hours of study, the effort that led to their child's university diploma; parents that could barely hold back their tears, reminiscing about the little ones they once cradled, now standing tall and receiving the rewards of a completed degree.

There were spouses, partners, godparents, and dear friends. The audience erupted with cheers and applause each time a graduate took their seat on the grand stage.

Then came the speeches, the tributes to professors, parents, and classmates.

Yet, one moment stood out above all others. It was the instant when the celebration transcended the walls of the auditorium.

It crossed boundaries and built a bridge with the Spiritual Realm. Throughout the evening, the name of God, the Lord of life, had been mentioned more than once.

A prayer of gratitude had risen, and whether religious or not, all present felt enveloped in an undeniable vibration of emotion.

Then, the master of ceremonies announced that a tribute would be paid to those who were not physically present.

The lights dimmed, and everyone was invited to turn on the flashlight of their cell phones. The auditorium transformed into a sky of tiny, shimmering stars.

As names of departed parents, spouses, and friends were spoken, those small lights, shining in the hands of loved ones, seemed to whisper that the invisible ones were there.

Yes, that was the message. They were unseen, yet present, standing beside their loved ones.

There was not a single person who did not shed a tear, however discreetly.

The voices of the graduates delivering the tribute trembled with emotion, struggling to reach the end of their prepared speech.

Those were moments of deep spiritual experience. Moments when the two worlds intertwined, and those of us still on this side became aware of it.

The most sensitive among them felt the embraces, the gentle caresses of those in the Spiritual Realm.

Undoubtedly, it was the most extraordinary moment of that night.

How wonderful it would be if we could relive such moments more often in our lives. If we remembered to build bridges of communication with those who have departed.

After all, the border of the Spiritual Realm begins exactly where the frontier of material life ends.

And a single thought, a remembrance of the happy times we shared, is enough to establish a connection with their minds.

They, like us, feel longing. And many times, whether during the hours of the day or the stillness of the night, they come to us.

We do not always feel their presence because we are so immersed in our daily concerns. So, every once in a while, let us allow ourselves to feel their embrace - those who continue to love us.

Because love never ends. It is not confined to an urn, nor does it turn to ashes.

The immortal soul carries with it the fragrance of love, the sweet memory of those left behind, and from wherever it is, it sends its affection.

They are like delicate bouquets of flowers sent our way.

Let us allow ourselves to sense their perfume. Let us pray. Let us think of them, sending them our love, to them, the invisible ones who are always with us.
