Understand that, just like you, everyone deserves good treatment.

Understand that the delicacy in the treatment, the kindness in the small gestures, make us more capable of navigating rivers where the hardness and harshness of heart would never take us.

My son, I ask you to be honest, with anyone and with yourself.

But first... want to be honest.

Do not blindly comply with my request.

Understand your commitment to the truth. The closer you are to it, the happier you will be. The more apart you are, the more unhappiness you will bring to your days.

Be true to yourself, to your principles. When in great doubt, remember to take a dip in the waters of your essence. The answers will be there, in your consciousness.

My son, I ask you to support the ones next to you.

But first... want to support them.

The one next to you is as important as yourself. The one next to you is your brother, very similar to you, although the difficult coexistence sometimes wants to point out otherwise.

All our difficulty in living with the other beings is in the fact that we still don't get along well with ourselves.

Protect the friend of the path. Be sure to notice those who pass by you every day and who often keep immense wounds in their souls.

Sometimes they just expect a good morning, a smile, a small gesture from someone who cares about them.

Most of the time it's nothing complex, nothing that will require a lot of time or great knowledge. All those ones want, almost always, is to know that someone cares about them.

Isn't that how you feel as well?

This short letter is a sample of how much I care about you. And more: how much this caring does me good, how natural it is in my days.

It is like that in true love. I hope you can build a lot of love in your life.

Parents can give advice. They can wish, can and should be the best possible examples to their children. However, the decision to change will only be on the other side, on the children's side.

You father, you mother, you can't get into the little head of your children, as they say popularly, to make them understand this or that.

Remember: your parents couldn't either, at least not until you woke up yourself.

There is no use for the despair or indignation with life that comes from expressions such as: But I did everything for them!

They always had the best references!

We educated them very well! And now this, this kind of behavior?

One side fulfilled his/her part well, that is okay. And the other? Possibly not yet. This is common.

To see a change, both sides need to do their parts: those who guide, those who teach. Also those who learn, those who assimilate and put it into practice.

If, at this moment, we are on the side of those who instruct, of those who guide, our mission is an important part. Let us do it with love.

However, let's keep in mind that the other part is up to them. They need to want it.
